Leah Wintermute is based out of our Edmonton office and is an authority in health care law. Leah’s narrow focus area in the sphere of health law has established her as an indispensable resource for large, public-facing institutional clients as they navigate the precarious position of administering public health care across Alberta. Leah works with the health care insurers to identify risk-managed solutions to all manner of issues which may arise in the administration of health care services.

Throughout the course of her career, Leah has represented health care clients  at various levels of court and at professional regulatory tribunals. Leah has appeared before the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, and during the pre-trial period at Judicial Dispute Resolution conferences.

Leah’s well-regarded reputation within the legal industry has culminated in recognition for multiple industry awards, including Martindale-Hubbell’s peer-reviewed award for ethical standards, and Martindale-Hubbell’s peer-reviewed award for legal ability in her field. This established reputation has helped Leah cement herself as a go-to resource for health care clients who can rely on her throughout high-stakes situations to provide them with the business-oriented solutions they require.
